Sportradar and the Brazilian Football Confederation reach a new integrity agreement.
More Brazilian football competitions will be monitored more closely as part of the agreement extension.
In accordance with the agreement, Sportradar will monitor wagers in 27 state-level contests by utilising its Integrity Services’ Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS). The Campeonato Brasileiro de Aspirantes and the Brasileiro U20 league are two youth leagues that will receive expanded coverage.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Sportradar has promised to watch more than 3000 CBF-sanctioned matches annually, including continuing to watch Série C and Série D. There will be no changes to the clauses in the previous contract that permit intelligence and investigation services to help the CBF identify violations of sporting integrity.
Apart from broadening the scope of monitoring, the agreement has other additions. One such innovation is the guarantee of three in-person integrity workshops each season, given by Sportradar's educational specialists. Players, employees, and other stakeholders are to be made aware of the possible risks associated with match-fixing.
Sportradar acted swiftly to dispel any belief that the capabilities of UFDS were limited, citing a sophisticated and reliable betting monitoring system with independent, verified dependability from industry experts. It describes in detail how bet patterns are examined for anomalies and how questionable matches are reported to partners like the CBF. The goal of this procedure is to provide more vital insight into both domestic and international match-fixing.
Ednaldo Rodrigues, acting president of the CBF, has commended the mutual respect and confidence between the two organisations.
He states: "Bet activity on our competitions is being better understood thanks to UFDS bet monitoring." By adding their live integrity seminars, we will provide an additional layer of security by making sure that information is provided on the integrity hazards facing our competitions. This cooperation extension strengthens our aim to defend Brazilian football.
According to Sportradar, the CBF's ongoing partnership is a clear sign of the organization's "commitment to protecting world football from would-be corruptors."
With the extension of its contract with CBF, Sportradar now has affiliations with CONMEBOL, FIFA, UEFA, and AFC.
